LEED for Homes, it is a green home certification for making sure that homes are designed and built to be energy efficient and healthy for occupants. This house was recently renovated and it was the first house to achieve the LEED Platinum certification in the area. This house serves as a true model of greener living for the entire community and on reducing energy use and the reuse of materials. The 4 bedroom, 3 bath project shows triple pane argon windows and high efficiency Energy Star LED lighting and very small fluorescent bulbs. Other energy efficient and water saving include a solar thermal hot water and there is a use of dual-flush toilets and low-flow bathroom fixtures.
