Try to open up your bathroom with light and glass! Bathrooms are generally smaller rooms but you can make them more spacious if you play with natural light and a more open design. A light colored vanity that is attached to the wall opens up floor space and makes the room seem more airy immediately. The next step is to install a single, large mirror on one wall of the room and a glass shower enclosure. The glass is an important feature; once you incorporate a skylight and larger windows, the natural light will stream through the glass creating radiance and space.

Once you decide how to incorporate more natural light, you can accessorize your bathroom in several different ways. It entirely depends on your tastes and the style of the rest of your home. Some people will chose to design along a desert theme with sand-colored tiles and southwest art hanging on the walls. Others decide to make the decor ocean-based with light blue walls and tasteful shell-themed art.
